Terms & Conditions.
Welcome to my practice! To ensure a safe and transparent therapeutic environment, please read through the following information regarding our collaboration.
1. Confidentiality & Privacy
Everything discussed within our sessions is strictly confidential. As a therapist, I adhere to professional ethics regarding your privacy.
• Exceptions: Confidentiality may be breached only if there is a legal obligation to do so or an immediate risk of serious harm to yourself or others.
• Data Protection (GDPR): I only collect the data necessary for your treatment and invoicing (name, contact info, notes). Your data is stored securely and will never be shared with third parties without your explicit written consent.
2. The Therapeutic Process
Therapy is a collaborative process. While I provide professional guidance and expertise, the outcome depends on your active participation and honesty.
• Professional Boundaries: To maintain the integrity of the therapeutic space and protect your privacy, the following boundaries apply:
Clinical Focus: Our relationship is strictly professional. While I am here to support you, I cannot enter into social friendships or business partnerships with clients.
Physical Contact: Therapy is entirely "talk-based." There is no physical contact involved in our sessions.
Communication: Email and messaging are reserved for administrative matters (scheduling and billing). To ensure your safety, please save therapeutic discussions for our scheduled sessions. I do not provide 24/7 crisis support.
Social Media: To protect your confidentiality, I do not accept "friend" or "follow" requests from current or former clients on personal social media platforms.
Public Encounters: If we happen to see each other in public, I will not initiate contact to protect your privacy. You are welcome to say hello if you wish, but I will follow your lead to ensure your comfort and privacy.
• Scope: If I feel your needs fall outside my area of expertise, I will discuss a referral to a more suitable specialist with you.
3. Cancellations & No-Shows
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you.
• The 24-Hour Rule: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.• Late Cancellations: If a session is cancelled within 24 hours, or if you do not show up, the full session fee will be charged. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation.
4. Fees & Payment
• The current rate for a session is €130 online and €150 in-person.
• Invoices are sent via email and must be paid within 14 days.
• Please note that my practice is entirely on self-pay basis. I do not work with insurance providers, and sessions are generally not eligible for reimbursement through Dutch health insurance.
5. Ending Therapy
You have the right to end our sessions at any time. I appreciate it if we can have a final "closing" session to wrap up our work together properly.
6. Complaints Procedure (Wkkgz)
I am committed to providing the highest quality of care. However, if you are dissatisfied with our work together, I encourage you to discuss it with me first so we can find a solution.
• If we cannot resolve the issue together, you have the right to contact an independent complaints officer via Zorg voor ZZP.
• This procedure is in accordance with the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz). My registration number with this body is 2026154.
7. Agreement
By attending your first session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
