A sexologist is a qualified healthcare professional specializing in sexual health, relationships, pleasure, and intimacy. The role combines therapeutic expertise with scientific knowledge to help clients navigate challenges and foster positive changes in their intimate lives.
While sexologist is not a protected title in the Netherlands, it is important to look beyond the title, when choosing a therapist. Make sure you seek help from professionals with academic education and clinical training.
I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Psychosexology. This degree focused specifically on the intersection of psychological health and sexual functioning. Unlike non-clinical practitioners, my approach is rooted in clinical psychology and sexology research, ensuring that the support you receive is safe, scientific, and professional!

While individual and couple’s sessions are not covered by insurance, they represent an investment in personal wellbeing and relationship health. Addressing intimate concerns proactively can prevent years of relationship strain. For clients who cannot afford my services, I offer a sliding scale fee, meaning fees are adjusted depending on an individual's income and financial situation. To see if you’re eligible for this option, feel free to contact me via e-mail.

The intake, as we call it, focuses on understanding your goals and concerns, answering questions, and creating a clear image of what you’re dealing with - all proceeding at a comfortable pace, that feels safe for you. This process allows us to develop a tailored approach.
You don’t need to bring anything but yourself/yourselves to the session, though some people like to take notes on a notepad or their phones. -
Everything discussed within our sessions is strictly confidential. As a therapist, I adhere to professional ethics regarding your privacy.
Exceptions: Confidentiality may be breached only if there is a legal obligation to do so or an immediate risk of serious harm to yourself or others.
Data Protection (GDPR): I only collect the data necessary for your treatment and invoicing (name, contact info, notes). Your data is stored securely and will never be shared with third parties without your explicit written consent.
